Preparing our Region’s Residents for Work and Career

A qualified and technically savvy workforce is a critical ingredient in the recipe for economic growth. Our region’s educational institutions must prepare students to meet the demands of work and civic involvement, while educational curriculum must prepare students to meet the needs of employment, particularly in industries that uniquely position our region with a competitive advantage in an ever increasingly competitive global economy. The Metro Chamber will initiate a study to assess the particular needs of our region’s employers and seek to determine just how our region’s educational institutions are preparing students to meet those needs.
