SACRAMENTO'S FUTURE PROSPERITY DEPENDS ON THE QUALITY OF ITS LEADERS. Our business and community leaders help maintain the region's quality of life, promote the economic well-being of Sacramentans throughout the area and guide us during crises.

In 1985, the Metro Chamber decided to make an investment in the region's community-minded leaders by starting the Leadership Sacramento program. Each year, Leadership Sacramento informs a group of 35 individuals to a behind-the-scenes understanding of the issues that impact the region's economic prosperity, quality of life and culminates in the completion of a community betterment project.
 
The 2010 Leadership Sacramento program is lead by a dynamic set of volunteers. The program's chair is Michael Smith of Teichert. Becky Sabin of Siemens Industry. The program's immediate past chair is Keri Thomas of Sutter Health Sacramento Sierra Region.
