State of the Ports Luncheon to examine regional gateways for trade

The State of the Ports Luncheon will examine the overall status of international logistics throughout Northern California. It will feature speakers from the seaports of Sacramento, Stockton, Oakland, and the Sacramento County Airport System. The event is hosted by the Northern California World Trade Center, a Sacramento Metro Chamber affiliate.

“This event invites local business, port management and city economic development managers throughout the Northern California region,” said Dion Dwyer, NorCal WTC executive director. “It will help create an environment for everyone to review future issues and create plans for logistical success throughout the Northern California region.” Topics will also include forecasting future logistical issues, how the ports are connecting to new markets, with a focus on free trade agreement countries.

The registration and networking portion will be held 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and the program will be 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the California Chamber, 1215 K St.
