THE METRO CHAMBER'S COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT EFFORTS strengthen the region's business and economic climate by supporting programs and activities that inspire community-minded leadership, volunteerism and philanthropy. We believe that when businesses operate with the community in mind, the entire region benefits. Key to the Metro Chamber's community development efforts are the Leadership Sacramento program and the Metro Chamber Foundation.

Since 1985, the Metro Chamber has cultivated community-minded leadership in its annual Leadership Sacramento program. Today, more than 800 graduates of the program are the top business, community and civic leaders in the Sacramento region. This program continues today, with applications open to the public each fall. Participation is limited to 35 individuals each year.

The Sacramento Metro Chamber Foundation was established in 2005 as a 501c3 to enable more direct support of community programs that improve the overall quality of life in the Sacramento region. The Foundation aligns community development activites with the Metro Chamber's goals and helps to facilitate the philanthropic efforts of our members and affiliates.
