Clean Energy Workshop held to highlight
Sacramento region's newest economic engine and opportunity for the future
A panel discussion Tuesday morning attracted a standing
room-only crowd among delegates. The panel (see list below)
spotlighted the reasons why the Sacramento region is uniquely
positioned to become a leader in the clean energy/green energy field.
 
The Panel’s focus included:
1. Support new business and entrepreneur development
in the field of clean energy technology
.
2. Attract and retain clean energy technology businesses.

3. Develop the regional market for renewable energy to
increase local demand and demonstrate
support for new technologies.

4. Produce and retain the skilled people needed
to support growth in the sector.

5. Brand the region as a “hotspot” to become
recognized as a national leader in the field.

The panel was moderated by Jim Williams, chair of Partnership
for Prosperity and partner, Williams + Paddon
Architects and Planners, Inc.
